Wait, What? New Pokémon Game Announced
This weekend, Dengeki Online revealed a brand new Pokémon game for DS: Pokémon + Nobunaga’s Ambition. As the name indicates, it’s a mashup between Pokémon and the Koei series Nobunaga’s Ambition, which features real historic Japanese figures engaging in turn-based strategy gameplay. Which means we now have feudal Japanese generals using Pokémon, like this dude with a goddamn Mewtwo. Enough said! Everything else you need to know is in the trailer below and on the official website. P+NA is out this Spring in Japan, but no Western date has been announced (and probably never will be, let’s face it).
Pokémon DLC Weekly Returns
First up, the last of the four Deerling C-Gear skins is now available to download; just enter the code “B8XME69W” into the Promotions page on Pokémon Global Link between now and January 11th. In addition, the Pokémon Carnival from a few weeks back has been made available in Europe – the password is “EUPGLMUSICAL11″.
There’s a couple of Pokémon up for grabs too. Europeans have a second chance to download Victini – just go to the Mystery Gift option on the menu and connect to Nintendo WFC before December 31st. Meanwhile, American and Australian players can get themselves a Lvl. 34 Mamoswine with Thick Fat ability by entering the password “POKEMONDOTCOM” into the Global Link.
Finally, the results of the “Befriend a Pokémon” poll have been announced, and predictably Arceus has won. From Feb 1st until Feb 29th 2012, you’ll be able to download a Lvl. 100 Arceus (with Multitype ability) via Pokémon Global Link.
