3DS View Impressions: Colors! 3D

Colors! 3D, released today on the Nintendo eShop in the U.S., is the official successor to the original Nintendo DS homebrew application which delighted gamers, artists and dabblers alike. This time around however, users are given the ability to paint in three dimensional layers, as well being able to paint with friends among other things. Having put some time into creating my own painting or two, I’m here now to give a rundown of my impressions with the new app thus far…

Sakura Samurai Official Website Now Online
Nintendo’s original eShop game, Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword, is coming to the US eShop on February 2nd and with it, comes the release of the official website of the game.

Nintendo Show 3D Returning Next Week On eShop
According to a recent tweet by Nintendo Show 3D host Jessie Cantrell, we can finally expect to see a new episode (of the semi-monthly eShop installment) next week. That’s great news for fans (including myself) of the show!

In addition to video games available at retail stores, Nintendo also offers a variety of content that people can download directly to their systems. Nintendo adds new titles to the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo 3DS™ system, to the Nintendo DSi™ Shop for the Nintendo DSi system and to the Wii™ Shop Channel for the Wii console at 9 a.m. Pacific time on Thursdays.
Nintendo 3DS Demos Coming To eShop Starting Tomorrow

Whoa, let's just calm down and play some Mercenaries while we wait, okay?
Starting tomorrow, you’ll be able to grab a demo for Resident Evil Revelations from the eShop. More demos being released will follow shortly after. The full press release is below.

Nintendo 3DS™ owners soon will be able to play free downloadable demo versions of select games. Starting tomorrow, owners can go to the Nintendo eShop to download a free demo version of Resident Evil® Revelations from Capcom. A free demo version of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games™ published by SEGA will launch on Jan. 26. The Nintendo eShop will be periodically updated with new game demos.
“The demo program allows Nintendo 3DS players to be among the first to test-drive select games,” said Tony Elison, Nintendo of America’s senior director and general manager of Network Business. “Players can try out new genres or series, often weeks before the full versions are available in stores.”
Additional demos coming soon include Rayman® Origins from Ubisoft and METAL GEAR SOLID® Snake Eater 3D from Konami Digital Entertainment. Specific dates and other games in the demo program will be announced at a later time.
