Kotaku Shows Off Augmented Reality In Nintendogs + Cats
That’s some neat stuff that they’ve added in to show off the augmented reality, especially since it uses all the cards. I won’t be picking this game up myself, as I had my fill with it on the DS, but I’m betting it’s a fairly decent game.

Euro 3DS Cases Are (Sort Of) Thinner [UPDATED]
I’ve finally found out for sure that the European 3DS game boxes are thinner than the stupid chunky ones we use now. Unfortunately, it appears (I still need to verify this) that they’re the same size as the current US/JP DS boxes, not the new super-thin US/JP 3DS boxes. They do included the “eco-holes” though, so we do get to join in on the adorable Nintendogs packaging party.
UPDATE: The EU 3DS cases are indeed the same thickness as the current US/JP DS cases, rather than the new, even thinner boxes they get in those regions:
